The process of cutting aluminum with a fiber laser cutting machine
steps:
1. Preparing the machine: The fiber optic cutting machine is first
prepared for cutting aluminum by adjusting the laser settings and
ensuring that the machine is clean and free from any debris.
2. Loading the aluminum: The aluminum sheet or plate to be cut is
loaded onto the machine's cutting bed, which is typically made of a
honeycomb material that provides support during the cutting
process.
3. Setting the parameters: The operator sets the cutting
parameters, such as the cutting speed, power, and focus, based on
the thickness of the aluminum and the desired cut quality.
4. Starting the cutting process: Once the parameters are set, the
operator starts the cutting process by activating the laser. The
laser beam cuts through the aluminum sheet in a precise and
controlled manner, guided by the machine's computer software.
5. Completing the cut: Once the cutting process is complete, the
operator unloads the cut aluminum sheet from the machine's cutting
bed. The edges of the cut are smooth and clean, with minimal heat
affected zone (HAZ) and no burrs.
